terms & conditions

LAST UPDATED 5 MAY 2026

These Supplementary Terms & Conditions apply specifically to In-Person Feng Shui & Space Clearing Consultations offered by Davina MacKail. They should be read alongside the main Terms & Conditions published at www.davinamackail.com/terms, which also apply in full.

In the event of any conflict between these supplementary terms and the main Terms & Conditions, these supplementary terms take precedence in respect of in-person consultations.

1. Nature of the Service

An in-person Feng Shui & Space Clearing consultation is a bespoke, on-site service that may include any or all of the following, as determined by Davina MacKail in her professional judgement:

– Full Feng Shui analysis of the property and its orientation

– Geomantic assessment of the land and surrounding influences

– Identification and clearing of geopathic stress

– Space clearing to release stagnant or disruptive energies

– Energetic realignment and blessing of the space

– Practical recommendations to optimise flow, function, and support

The work is intuitive and responsive to what is present in the space. The precise scope of activity on the day is therefore determined by Davina's assessment of the property and cannot be fully specified in advance. The agreed fee covers the full visit as scoped and quoted, not a fixed number of interventions.

Note: Distance preparation — the initial clearing of deep energetic layers — typically begins from the moment a booking is confirmed. Clients may notice shifts in their home or life from this point.

2. Enquiry, Scope & Quotation

– In-person consultations are offered by application and personal quotation only. They are not available for direct online booking.

– The scope of each consultation is agreed between Davina MacKail and the client via written correspondence (email) prior to the visit. This correspondence constitutes the agreed scope of the service.

– Scope is typically informed by: the size and nature of the property; a floorplan or description provided by the client; the location and travel requirements; and the depth of clearing or analysis required. Clients are responsible for providing accurate and complete information about the property at the time of enquiry.

– The quoted fee is a fixed project fee based on the agreed scope. It is not an hourly rate and does not vary with the duration of the visit within the agreed scope.

– All travel and associated expenses are included in the quoted fee unless explicitly stated otherwise in the written quotation.

– Scope changes on the day: If the property is found to be materially larger, more complex, or significantly different from what was described at the time of enquiry — for example, additional outbuildings, land, basements, or annexes not previously disclosed — Davina reserves the right to limit the work to the agreed scope or to discuss an amended fee before proceeding with additional work. No additional charge will be applied without the client's agreement.

3. Fees & Payment

– Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the agreed fee is required to confirm and secure the booking. The deposit is payable by bank transfer, details of which will be provided in the booking confirmation.

– Balance: The remaining balance (75% of the agreed fee) is due on the day of the consultation, payable by bank transfer or cash. Payment must be made before Davina departs the property.

– The booking is not confirmed, and the date is not held, until the deposit has been received.

– Prices are stated in pounds sterling (GBP). Invoices or booking confirmations will set out the full fee, deposit amount, and balance due.

– Davina MacKail reserves the right to decline an enquiry or cancel a booking at her sole discretion. In such cases, any deposit received will be refunded in full.

4. Cancellation Policy

Cancellation by the client

All cancellation requests must be made in writing by email to davina@davinamackail.com. The date of receipt of the cancellation email is the date from which notice is calculated. Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding UK public holidays.

The tiered cancellation policy reflects the significant preparation, travel planning, and logistical commitment that in-person consultations require. Late cancellations may prevent the date being reallocated to another client.

Rescheduling by the client

– You may request to reschedule your consultation at no charge if more than 10 working days' notice is given and the deposit has been received. The deposit will be applied to the rescheduled date.

– Rescheduling requests with fewer than 10 working days' notice will be treated as a cancellation and the cancellation policy above will apply.

– Each booking may be rescheduled once only. A second request to reschedule will be treated as a cancellation.

Cancellation by Davina MacKail

– In the event that Davina needs to cancel the visit due to illness, emergency, or circumstances beyond her reasonable control, you will be offered a full refund of your deposit or an alternative date.

– Davina will provide as much notice as possible and will not be liable for any further costs or losses arising from a cancellation on her part.

5. Access & Client Obligations

To ensure the visit proceeds safely and effectively, the client agrees to the following:

Property access

– The client must ensure that Davina has full and unimpeded access to all areas of the property included within the agreed scope, for the duration of the visit.

– If access to any agreed area of the property is restricted or refused on the day, Davina reserves the right to limit the work accordingly. No reduction in the agreed fee will be made in such circumstances.

– Where the property is tenanted, a commercial premises, or otherwise occupied by third parties, the client is responsible for obtaining all necessary permissions for the visit in advance.

Preparation of the spacE

The following preparation is required before the day of the visit:

– Chronic clutter should be cleared and tidied

– Rubbish bins should be emptied

– Carpets and floors should be vacuumed or swept

– No food or drink should be left on display

– Children under 7 years of age must not be present in the property during the space clearing itself. Arrangements for their absence are the client's responsibility.

– Pets — particularly dogs — should ideally be absent from the property or contained in the garden during the clearing. Dogs in particular can find the movement of energies disturbing.

On the day

– Please be aware that the space clearing process involves: auditory elements including drumming, rattling, and bell ringing; and smoke in the form of incense. By confirming the booking, the client consents to these elements being used within the property.

– If any member of the household has a medical condition that may be affected by incense smoke or loud sounds, the client must notify Davina in advance so that appropriate adjustments can be discussed.

– The client or an authorised representative must be present throughout the visit.

6. Aftercare

Energetically clearing a home or business can occasionally produce experiences similar to the body's response to detoxification. The following aftercare is strongly recommended for all occupants on the day of the visit and in the days following:

– Drink at least two litres of water on the day of the clearing to support the body in processing any energetic shift.

– Take a salt bath on the evening of the visit — Epsom salts or natural sea salt are recommended.

– Some tiredness in the day or two following the clearing is not uncommon and is a normal part of the process.

This aftercare advisory is offered in good faith and does not constitute medical advice. If you have any health concerns, please consult a qualified medical professional.

7. Post-Visit Report & Support

– Written report: Following the consultation, Davina will provide a written summary of the work carried out and key recommendations. This will be delivered within 14 days of the visit.

– Six weeks of post-consultation support: The agreed fee includes six weeks of post-visit email or telephone support. This allows for any questions arising from the process, and for supplementary guidance as the transformation unfolds. The nature of this work is individual and subsequent advice may occasionally be needed.

– Support requests should be directed to davina@davinamackail.com. Davina will respond within five working days where possible.

– The six-week support period begins on the date of the visit.

8. Nature of Recommendations & Limitation of Liability

– Guidance only: All Feng Shui, geomantic, and energetic recommendations made during or following an in-person consultation are offered as professional guidance only. They do not constitute structural, architectural, surveying, legal, or financial advice.

– Property decisions: The client is solely responsible for any decisions made regarding their property — including but not limited to alterations, redecoration, repositioning of furniture or objects, and any works carried out — based on recommendations received from Davina MacKail. Davina accepts no liability for the outcome of any such decisions.

– No guaranteed outcomes: Davina brings extensive knowledge, experience, and intuitive skill to each consultation. She makes no guarantee as to specific outcomes, results, or changes to the property, its occupants, or any associated circumstances following the visit.

– Limitation of liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, Davina MacKail's total liability in connection with an in-person consultation shall not exceed the fee paid for that consultation. She shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or special losses arising from the work or from the client's implementation of any recommendations.

– These terms do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law.

9. Davina's Welfare & Right to Discontinue

– Davina reserves the right to discontinue or decline a visit if she considers the environment to be unsafe, hostile, or otherwise unsuitable for the work to proceed. In such circumstances, the deposit will be retained and no refund of any balance paid will be due.

– The client is responsible for ensuring that the property presents no foreseeable health or safety risk to Davina during the visit, including but not limited to: structural hazards, aggressive animals, or undisclosed environmental hazards.

10. Notes & Records During the Visit

– Davina may make written or voice notes during the visit for the purpose of preparing the post-visit report. No photographs or recordings of the property or its occupants will be made without the client's prior consent.

– All information relating to the client, the property, and the consultation is treated as strictly confidential in accordance with the main Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.

11. Governing Terms

These Supplementary Terms & Conditions are governed by the law of England and Wales and should be read in conjunction with the main Terms & Conditions at www.davinamackail.com/terms. By confirming an in-person booking and paying the deposit, the client agrees to be bound by both documents.
